Party Rally ("we", "us", or "our") helps groups schedule games and gatherings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website and services at partyrally.app (the "Service").

Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details through our auth provider. We use this to sign you in, secure your account, and associate sessions you create with your account.

Session and scheduling data

When you host a session, we store the details you provide, such as session name, time slots, timezone, and scheduling preferences. When participants respond through a shared link, we store the display name they enter and their availability selections.

Participant responses without an account

Participants can submit availability without signing up. We may store a random identifier in your browser so you can update your response on the same device. Hosts can see participant display names and availability for sessions they manage.

Feedback and support

If you send us feedback or contact support, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your message and email address if you include one.

Usage and technical data

We collect basic technical information when you use the Service, such as browser type, device information, and pages visited. In production, we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Service. We do not use analytics to build advertising profiles.

Voluntary payments

If you choose to support development through our optional payment link, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment information you provide to them.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Let hosts create sessions and collect participant availability
• Authenticate users and protect accounts
• Respond to feedback and support requests
• Monitor reliability, security, and aggregate usage

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:

• With session participants and hosts: availability responses and display names are visible to the host of the relevant session, and aggregate availability may be shown to other participants through shared session pages.
• With service providers: we use trusted providers to run the Service, including Supabase (hosting and database), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Stripe (optional payments), and email delivery services for feedback and notifications.
• For legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Party Rally, our users, or others.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes such as security and troubleshooting. You may request deletion of your account or specific data by contacting us.

Your choices

• You can choose not to create an account, though hosting sessions requires one.
• Participants can use a display name that does not identify them personally, but hosts will still see that name with the submitted availability.
• You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to applicable law and our need to retain certain records.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and basic site functionality. Your browser may also store a local identifier so participants can update their availability on the same device.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
